Leonard Rich, Jr., was one of the first guys to develop a technique to properly repair fiberglass bodies. In the late 1950’s while working with his father out of their backyard body shop, Leonard Jr came across a 1956 Corvette automatic 283 230hp. It was for sale quite cheap because the owner had a terrible crash and the car was considered a total loss.
Even Leonard’s father, who had always been a strong supporter of what Leonard did thought this project was just too far gone. But as you can see from these actual before and after pictures, Leonard rebuilt the entire vehicle back to its pre-loss condition.
